The brakes totally locked up which made the car undriveable, and this is the third time its happened. Twice in the last week. The abs light and the anti swerve lights light come on and the brakes lock.
I took it to a certified mechanic and they reset the abs system and I was able to drive it for 2 days and it happened again. I can't help but think that this is being caused by a defective part. This occurred when applying brakes on a steep hill, then it locks up the brakes. My mechanic researched this and found many Chrysler products were having similar problems. I've had the Jeep towed twice, but the first time I had to force it to a safe place and the brakes were smoking and I had to replace the rotors and brake pads.
Please let me know of any similar problems.
