Received a coolant temperature alert and vehicle overheated while driving in West Virginia on 12/19/2019 (I was traveling for the holidays). The vehicle had less than 2K miles on it and I had purchased it less than a month before. The vehicle was towed to dealership in Clarksburg WV; it was diagnosed as an environmentally caused radiator issue on 12/20/2019. The dealership received the new radiator on 12/26/2019 but dealership admitted to misdiagnosing the issue and now determined that the condenser needed to be replaced. Condenser part was not available until 1/2/2020.

I called for a repair update on 1/3/2020 and learned that the new ETA for the part is 1/23/2020 and it may change again. Because the part/issue is not covered under warranty, it will not be handled as a priority according to Jeep Customer Care, who I spoke to today. I have a case opened and am trying to get this to resolution, but it is very ridiculous that a brand new vehicle is inoperable and can't be repaired for more than 30 days because Jeep isn't providing parts for repairs! The condenser sits directly behind the grill and is very vulnerable to road issues; I've only driven on the highway and around town for errands and did nothing unusual with the vehicle to cause a problem with the condenser.

But now I still have to make car payments and can't even drive the car, and it will be at least another 3 weeks before the part MIGHT be available. It's very very frustrating that the parts aren't available and Jeep is "trying to expedite"" the parts availability. It doesn't help that I live in Florida and the vehicle is still at the dealership in WV (10+ hours away, driving time). Shouldn't Jeep have enough parts to service the vehicles that they've sold?
