I have had this problem since 55,000 KMs. It happens intermittently and is now becoming more and more of a problem. I have checked the fan and relays as well as wiring harness. All I do to temporarily fix is turn off motor and start again. It resets and cooling fan comes on right away.
I have had the reverse problem. It has kept running even when motor is off and keys are out of the ignition. It corrected itself on its own, Eventually. I did have to pull the relay for fan to stop it when not running the Jeep.
This is related to TIPM as I have a running list of intermittent other problems that again are corrected by turning off the Jeep and turning it back on again.
