Hi, I'd like you to be aware of the following issue. In December 2012 Chrysler sent me a letter citing Chrysler safety recall N28 / NHTSA 13V-234 that is concerned with replacement of transmission oil cooler tube. Since 18 December 2013, I've been calling my local Chrysler dealer (glenn E. thomas Dodge Chrysler Jeep in signal hill, ca) and every one of three times I am being told that the dealer has not received any replacement parts from Chrysler to accommodate this recall. This is not the matter of shortage but absolute lack of follow-through on behalf of Chrysler. If Chrysler makes the owners aware that there's a potential safety issue and yet does not supply (nor provide an eta for parts) the major dealership for nearly 3 months, then it makes me quite concerned. What else has the Chrysler not followed through on, my brakes, airbag, steering? thanks for your consideration of this issue.

I recently received a safety recall notice from Chrysler (N28/NHTSA 13V-234) and contacted my dealer (david Jeep in glen mills, pa) about having the problem addressed. Their unfortunate response was that the parts are backordered and may take anywhere from "a few weeks to a few months." Considering I have already dealt with a similar delay regarding a separate recall (which required the replacement of half of my engine's cylinder heads), I find the overall apathy and preparedness to this situation problematic. The recall notice specifically says to contact you if my dealer cannot remedy the situation "within a reasonable period of time." I find weeks or months to be an unreasonable period.
