In 2015 driving 35-45 mph and the anti skid light came on out of the blue. The jeep started losing control, sliding around side to side on a normal summer day on city street. Stopped vehicle, turned engine off. Began driving again, same thing happened. Repeated my. Steps and then seemed To eventually go away and. Hasn't reaccured since, but worrisome.

Death wobble has happened four times from January to June of 2017. Always at 60mph along same stretch of freeway while making slight left turn. No visible damage. Steering wheel vibrates violently. Goes away after slowing down. Starts with mild vibration.

My wife drives the 4-door Jeep everyday. And, everyday she experiences the death wobble. I've had the alignment and the tires balances, plus bought new tires. It's only getting worse.

I had jeep aligned and rotated tires on 08/03,first alignment and usual tire rotation. Didn't drive vehicle much until 08/19 and when going through OK City in rush hour, rounding a curve with bumpy road, death wobble started and continued until I was able to pull over in little triangle space between flying vehicles on I44 and oncoming traffic lane which I was on. I had to come to a complete stop before it would quit. I didn't have much control of steering wheel which is what made it horrifying, besides being in small space between all the traffic that wasn't slowing down for nothing.

This last Death Wobble wasn't too bad. I pushed on brake and it stopped. I still pulled off road anyway. Steering stabilizer was worn contributing to issue so they replaced it with an after market heavier duty one. Said it would hold up better. Steering wheel feels much tighter like before I had first wobble where almost got in wreck due to rush hour Oklahoma City traffic, which stops for nothing and no one.

I googled the issue to find out multiple people have posted about this - it is called "Death Wobble" if you look it up. Very dangerous as you almost loose control of the vehicle. Unbelievable that this has not been recalled.

I was able to record the extreme shaking of my Keep Wrangler experiences because the dealership would not believe my car was shaking violently. I was told by the Glendale, CA dealership that they had NEVER heard of such a thing and could not detect anything wrong with my car.

I'm usually on the 5S freeway merging on the 10E in LA going 40mph to 50mph when it happens. It is terrifying and I'm scared the car will lose controls and I won't be able to hold on to the wheel. It feels like I have a flat and others driving around me yell at me telling me it looks like my car wheel is about to come flying off.

I've taken the car in for the exact same reason multiple times. After months of shaking, I took the car into the dealer the first time on August 2014 I had no help resolving the problem. At that time they did change my steering damper which temporarily stopped the problem. Now it's back and nothing has changed!
