The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while stopped at a stop light, he depressed the accelerator pedal to drive when all 5-wheel studs inadvertently snapped off the rear passenger-€™s side wheel. The rim fractured and the tire was sliced and detached from the rim. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where the cause of the failure could not be determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000.
