The consumer owns a 2005 Kia Sedona. She purchased the vehicle on 6-20-05, and twenty minutes after she drove the car off the lot, the radio quit working along with the ignition light illuminating. The consumer took the vehicle back to the dealership, and they could not service the car that day but made an appointment to come back on 6-22-05. The dealership kept the vehicle for three days. On 7-26-05 the brake went all the way to the floor and made a loud ticking noise while turning. The consumer took the vehicle to another dealership for repairs, and they resurfaced the brakes and the ignition. On 7-31-05 the brakes failed. The consumer tried to pump the brakes and they would not catch. To keep from hitting the vehicle in front, she veered to the left and ran onto the median, causing two blow outs on the driver's front and rear. The consumer had the vehicle towed to aaa, and they replaced one of the tires and placed the spare on the vehicle. There where no injuries in this accident. Also, one of the tires in the accident looked as if someone had taken a knife and cut the tire. The cut was so clean that the dealership refused to repair the tire or the rim. The consumer had to buy a new tire and rim. On 8-18-05 the van was taken back to Kia, . the consumer was given a rental car. The consumer had gotten the vehicle back on August 28, 2005. On 8-19-05 the consumer received a recall letter concerning the gas pedal and braking problems. (11/30/05) the emission light had come on and smoke was seen coming from under the vehicle, there was a loud ticking sound heard when turning the steering and a coil was repaired as a result, the grease seal leaked and there was a hesitation when the vehicle kicked into gear.

2005 Kia Sedona. The car was bought in may, and it stalled intermittently. The fist time vehicle stalled was in July. Consumer's husband was driving and when approaching a light the car stalled. No indicator lights came on. Second time that vehicle stalled was while driving on I95 and slowing down 20 -25 mph. Again, no indicator light came on at this time. Took vehicle to the dealership, and they could not duplicate the problem. A third time the car stalled, but it was restarted immediately. Cranked the car and it only stayed for just a few seconds. This happened at least twice.. the consumer made it to a gas station and put more gas into the gas tank which showed a little over tank. Started back up and drove home. The forth time, while driving on a hill hit the gas pedal and there was a decrease in acceleration and vehicle stalled. The car had at least tank of gas. No indicator light came on prior to the car stalling.
