The component that is failing in the Kia is the headlighs. It has been inspected by Kia of Orange Park and is determined to need replacement of left and right headlight assemblies. It is available for further inspection but Kia wants more money than I can afford to fix it, so I will be finding another mechanic soon. While traveling home with five others after dark the headlights just went out on a very dark highway. Before we could safely pull over they came back on. We proceeded to continue home and the lights randomly went completely out and back on again for the entire journey. I have not driven the Kia at night since. With the grace of God there was no accident so the police and insurance agency were not involved; only the Kia dealer thus far has inspected the kia. There is an attached report. There were no warning lights, lamps or messages, or symptoms prior to this headlight failure. This happened on Mother's Day 2023. I have no assessment of the cause, with the exception of a full diagnostic of the vehicle which I have paid Kia of Orange Park for, in full. A report is attached or available from the dealership. I am adamant that this issue is a serious, life threatening issue that left six people in terrorized silence for a shaky forty five minute ride home. I am grateful that none of the passengers or anybody in any other vehicle were hurt or injured and I will not stop until a full national recall is made on this problem.

While driving at night the HEADLIGHTS TURN OFF without cause or warning spotaneiusly. This is a great safety risk to all, lights turning off while driving on a dark road puts me and those around me in danger. This issue has not been confirmed but i did notice on the web that this is not an isolated incident others have experienced lights turning off at night as well. Vehicle is still in my possession.

The brake lights went out. The bulbs were replaced. The fuse was replace and there still no lights. The top led brake light works, but lower lights on each side are out. I don't know if the brake switch is the problem when the upper led works. I have researched the issue and discovered that this is a xommon kia issue with many models. When a Google search is conducted for "kia no brake lights it comes up with other people that have the same issue with multiple models."

There have been several times recently when both of the headlights flicker on and off while driving or while parked over the past 2 weeks. Most of the time it seems to happen when using the turn signal, but not always. Most times it has only flickered off for a second and it has happened for as long as several seconds until the driver could quickly turn the lights off and back on again for them to work. This is obviously a safety hazard when driving at night. When the lights flicker, the park lights will stay on.

As consistently as multiple times each day, when using the blinker function on my 2015 Kia Sedona. The headlights will turn off completely. I have to wiggle the device to restore headlight function. It appears to have loose connectivity or wire, but is a significant safety issue when driving at dark.

We have had our 2015 Kia Sedona minivan for about almost 3 years now. We went in to our local Kia dealer since the steering wheel wasn't centering correctly, so they gave us a wheel alignment. Shortly after we realized the alignment did not help and it was the tires with the main problem. The reason I mentioned all of that is because shortly after, our turn signal started acting strangely. Whenever we pushed it in either direction with the automatic headlight setting on, it automatically turned on the parking lights (even in the middle of the night). Sometimes it would not do it when you used the turn signal, but when you turned the steering wheel back around and turned off the turn signal and the parking lights symbol would pop up on the screen. Ever since we got the tires replaced and the wheel alignment, our turn signal seemed to have much less of a duration when taking turns. Right when you turned the steering wheel back to its normal position in the middle of making the turn it starts to shut off. We tried to be more gentle with the turn signal and steering wheel and it improved a little bit, but the parking lights were still popping on once in a while. A few months ago we finally decided to fully shut off the automatic headlights and just do it manually. We feel more secure driving the vehicle with the automatic headlights on for safety reasons but with the whole parking light glitch it doesn't make it any safer. Also today we recently tested the automatic headlights again. We parked it inside the garage and locked it up car. When we went out to throw out the trash, the parking lights were mysteriously on and the automatic switch was on and the van was completely locked and off.

My head lights blinked three times then went out on low setting, high beams work only. Bulbs have been replaced four times and after about a month they blink and then go out- this has happened each time while driving at night time on way home from work with my children in the car and this is unacceptable. Especially when seeing how many forums are online about this issue with Kia. All times I have been on back country roads going home from work at 11 pm.

When in motion, at times, when the left turn signal is clicked into place to indicate a left turn or movement to the left lane, the right turn signal will blink instead. This causes very dangerous driving conditions

On multiple occasions my headlights will turn on or off when using turn signals or just hitting a bump. This is extremely dangerous as I live in a rural area with no street lights. This issue has been going on for several months now and is becoming more frequent. My 2015 Sedona only has 90K miles and I would not expect to have an issue like this at this time.

Takata recall: Our 2015 Kia Sedona's when in motion or stationary, the turn signal component does not signal the direction we have selected. When I choose left turn it signals right turn. I have to play with the turn signal lever about 10 times before it may or may not signal the proper direction. This is extremely dangerous as the cars around us think we are planning to go right instead of left each intersection. Please issue a recal on these turn signal components for 2015 Kia Sedona minivans.

The rear housings for the turn signals are filling with rain water. The water leakage will render the signals inoperable. The driver may not even be aware of this hazard. Apparently, this is a common safety problem as the seals or plastic housing may be defective.
