I've had my car in and out of the repair shop for over a year w/the check engine light that keeps coming on. In addition, there is now a serious problem with the motor - the car won't move when I push on the accelerator and will slow down and start bucking. And then there's the knocking sound in the engine!
Have a 2016 Kia Sorento that we lease. Drove downtown Indianapolis and on the way home started hearing a clicking sound. By the time I got all the way home it was really loud. Called the dealership (Napleton Kia of Fishers) and was instructed to pull over, shut the car down, and have it towed. Had it towed to the dealership where they informed me I had engine failure because of sludge. Kia stated they will not cover because of poor maintenance. Always took my car to that dealership for ALL service. We even bought the maintenance package with the lease where synthetic oil was to be used. How on earth is taking it in regularly poor maintenance?! Not a single mention on any of my previous oil changes that there was ANY sign of sludge just that everything looked great!
first issue was ac went out. then within a couple days of the dealership looking at the AC my car started making a loud clicking noise. On my way to the dealership after waiting 2 weeks for a part for the AC to come my car started shaking and cut off 3 times. dealership has had my car for almost 6 days and I keep getting told they are having a master tech look at it. still don't know what is wrong with my car. not comfortable driving a car that is less than a year and a half old.
