Purchased a new 2023 Kia Sportage Hybrid EX in mid-November 2023. So far it has been back to the local Kia dealership on 5 separate occasions for the same problem: check engine light P0456. As of 2/11/2024 it has been in the dealership continuously now for 17 days and the dealership still cannot figure out how to fix it. The dealer techs feel the KIA America tech they are working with is a complete idiot. As an example they changed out the carbon purge cannister twice and discovered that the evap system is still leaking. They tested the system at 1/2 pound of pressure and found the leak and the Kia America tech wants them to try 5 pounds of pressure! I bought the car new in Delaware with a temp tag that expires on 2/14. I cannot get it to pass PA inspection because of the check engine light. The escalation department at KIA is a complete joke. They give you a case number and forget about you. They only call if I call them and then the only thing my contact Jason does is read the dealer notes. As I'm in touch with the dealer on a regular basis I know more than this joker. I have purchased many new cars over the years and this is the worst experience I have had. Needless to say this is the first and last Kia I will ever buy.
