Summary
SOME 2017 MKC VEHICLES WITHOUT THX AUDIO SYSTEMS MAY EXHIBIT A SUBWOOFER DOUBLE POP NOISE DURING A WAKE-UP EVENT AND/OR THE SPEAKER FADE SETTING RETURNS TO DEFAULT AFTER A KEY CYCLE. A WAKE-UP EVENT MAY INCLUDE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS: DOOR OPEN, KEY FOB USED, TAILGATE ACTIVATED, ETC. THE NOISE COULD ALSO BE DESCRIBED AS A LOW TONE BUMP SOUND, AS IF SOMEONE LIGHTLY TAPPED ON THE MOST REARWARD SIDE WINDOW. REPROGRAM THE AUDIO CONTROL MODULE (ACM) TO THE LATEST CALIBRATION USING THE INTEGRATED DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM (IDS) RELEASE 104.02 OR HIGHER. MAKE SURE YOU ARE CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET WHEN ENTERING MODULE PROGRAMMING TO OBTAIN THE LATEST UPDATES. CALIBRATION FILES MAY ALSO BE OBTAINED AT WWW.MOTORCRAFTSERVICE.COM. USE CAUSAL PART 18C869 AND APPLICABLE LABOR OPERATIONS IN SECTION 10 OF THE SLTS MANUAL.
