I had an acceleration happen with my 09 Lincoln MKS when my foot was all the way down on the break! It pulled me into on coming traffic and the only way I could stop it from pulling me out into the road is by slamming the car into reverse.

This could have resulted in a crash had there been any vehicles coming when this happened but thank God there wasn't. I am unsure why this happened but this is definitely something that is defective with this type of vehicle and this is definitely something that the Manufacturers need to figure out Pronto! Or they will have a lawsuit coming!

On May 9 at approximately 9:08 PM I was driving my car from the street into my driveway I was driving very slow. When I drove to the lip of the driveway the car accelerated , it felt like the car was traveling 70 mph in a small area. I tried to brake but the gas pedal kept accelerating causing me to drive into my daughters parked car then to the side of garage, the side of the house taking out the shrubs, going across the rock landscape hitting my neighbors large oak tree. The car continued to accelerate, the engine wouldn’t turn off. My daughter and my neighbors had to come out and get me out of the car, the driver side door was struck. my daughter had to jiggle the gear shift to turn off the car. My Ring security systems caught the entire incident on video and camera, the incident was also captured on my neighbors security cameras . My airbag never deployed. I could have died if not for the tree. It was a very terrifying experience. I have a sprained ankle, bruise shoulders and knee, spasms in my neck my back my shoulders and my hip. My car is totaled, I have thousands of dollars in damages to my house. My doctor has taken me off work since the accident. My car would be paid off in March.
