Driver door latch electrical component consistently thinks the door is ajar when in fact the door is closed. This sets the vehicle car alarm off when the vehicle is parked 2-4 times a day. Additionally, when driving the vehicle at night, all of the interior lights remain on as it thinks the door is open, causing night time driving very difficult. This is obviously a flaw in the design since the switch is built into the door latch.

The dash light tells us the passenger door is ajar all the time (while driving and parked) and sometimes it shows the driver door is ajar when, in fact, the doors are shut. The dash lights and exterior rear view mirror lights stay lit a long time after the car is parked and the lights are turned off. The horn (alarm) will start honking in the middle of the night or when it sits in a parking lot for an hour or so after it is parked and we will have to find the keys to shut it off. Very annoying and embarrassing when sitting in church and this happens in the middle of a sermon or parked at a motel and the alarm goes off at 2 a.M. we have taken it to a mechanic and they ran a diagnostic test on the computer system and found nothing wrong. We are annoyed and angry and don't want to pay huge sums of money for them to keep running tests and telling us "nothing is wrong", when it is! how do we resolve this?
