The contact owns a 2013 Lincoln Mkx. The contact stated that the front driver's door did not securely latch, causing the door to unexpectedly open while the contact was driving. The contact also stated that the failure caused the battery in the vehicle to die. The contact stated that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 17V210000 (latches/locks/linkages). The dealer (franklin park Lincoln, Inc., 5272 monroe St, toledo, oh 43623) replaced the door latch. The manufacturer was contacted and did not assist. The failure mileage was 39,362. The VIN was not available.
