A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED I DROVE TO END OF INCLINED DRIVEWAY. STOPPED TO PICK UP TRASH OFF PROPERTY, THOUGHT CAR WAS IN PARK, THANK GOD I LEFT CAR DOOR OPEN. PUT TRASH IN CAN AND TURNED TO GET BACK INTO CAR AND IT WAS ROLLING UP HILL OUT INTO THE STREET. FELL TRYING TO GET TO CAR, JUMPED IN AND GOT MY FOOT ON BRAKE JUST IN TIME ONCOMING CAR THANKFULLY SLOWED FOR ME TO GET OUT OF WAY.

DIDN'T HAPPEN AGAIN FOR SEVERAL WEEKS. THEN PERIODICALLY WARNING CAME ON WHEN I PUT CAR IN PARK, TOOK SEVERAL TRIES TO GET WARNING TO GO OFF. NOW IT HAPPENS MOST EVERY TIME I PUT CAR IN PARK, WON'T GO. WENT TO FORD SERVICE DEPT. THEY DIDN'T ACT AS THOUGH IT A NOT SUCH A BIG DEAL OR THEY DID NOT BELIEVE ME. ASK WHEN I WANTED TO BRING CAR IN. I SAID HOW SOON CAN YOU TAKE IT? THIS WAS ON MONDAY THEY SCHEDULED ME FOR THURSDAY.

AFTER A FULL DAY OF INSPECTION THEY CALLED AT 5 PM AND SAID THEY HAD NOT FIGURED OUT PROBLEM. NEXT AM THEY CALLED SAID IT NEEDED A NEW GEAR SHIFT. NO RECALL, NO WARRANTY. I ONLY HAVE ABOUT 65,000 MILES ON VEHICLE. I WOULD CONSIDER THIS TO BE A MANUFACTURE DEFECT, AND SERIOUSLY DANGEROUS. SHOULD BE COVERED BY FORD.

THEY WILL HAVE MY CAR OVER WEEKEND SHOULD GET IT BACK MONDAY, AT A COST OF $350+. EXTENDED WARRANTY SAID THEY WOULD NOT COVER THIS. ( DON'T BUY EXTENDED WARRANTIES AS THEY DON'T COVER MORE THAN THE DO COVER.
