really awful
engine problem
Was pulling into a parking place to drop off laundry, had driven less than a mile, when the engine suddenly started racing and the car lurched forward in spite of use of brake and then hand brake. I went over the curb and struck a store front shattering the glass and causing extensive damage to the building and one person was injured.
Car had extensive repairs and dealer said they could not replicate the problem. The insurance pay out was significant but fortunately no one was seriously injured

Left work and had gone approximately a mile in heavy traffic when from a stopped position (foot brake engaged) the engine suddenly began racing and the car shot forward when foot brake was fully engaged. Applied hand brake and then threw into park and had to swerve and go over an embankment to avoid hitting cars in front of me. I just missed hitting a tree by inches. This is the third incident with this car since January 2013 (all occured almost immediately after start up) and am now afriad to drive it as I fear I will injure or kill someone the next time this happens.

Was in route to work, had gone approximately 4 miles went the engine suddenly bgan racing and car accelerated. Brakes did not slow the car and had to place car in neutral to stop movement forward. No damage as htis occured on an empty street but left me shaken as it was the second incident of this type with the car
