Battery stops and overheats. Car had been to Lincoln Repair Shop in Henderson NV 3x, no resolution to the issue. Per Lincoln Concierge, the Ford Lincoln Engineers not able to find a solution and blames battery overheating and car stalling on the Las Vegas Temp.
Hybrid battery changed by Lincoln. Suggested to tint the car, that was done, same issue persists.
If the temp is below 100 the car drives well. As soon as the temp goes up, the main battery dies and Hybrid battery can only run for 30 miles. It totally stopped and had to be towed last week. Triple AA tried to restart the car, failed, so this was the third tow for this car.
Lincoln Concierge service advised not to bring it in to Lincoln repair shop as there is no fix to this problem. I am hoping a smart mechanic has any idea on how to fix this problem. Lincoln offered an extended warranty, but what good is the warranty when the car quits in the middle of the freeway and no one at Lincoln can figure out the fix.
Any second opinion suggestions? Anyone out there with same issue in Phoenix Az or in Las Vegas area?
