A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

MARCH 1, 2019

I PURCHASED A 2019 LINCOLN NAVIGATOR WITH ODOMETER DISCLOSURE OF 16 MILES. CAR WAS DELIVERED ON FRIDAY 2/22/19 FROM A DEALER OVER 300 MILES AWAY.

ON ITS FIRST OUTING MY WIFE DROVE THE CAR TO HER DOCTOR’S APPOINTMENT ON WEDNESDAY 2/27/2019. MADE HER FIRST STOP IN THE CITY, CAR WOULD NOT START, AT THIS POINT WE HAVE OWNED THE CAR LESS THAN 100 MILES. THE LOCAL DEALER COMES AND INSTALLS A NEW BATTERY. CAR STARTS AND MY WIFE CONTINUES ON TO HER DOCTOR’S APPOINTMENT, LEAVES THE DOCTOR’S OFFICE AND CAR STALLS IN THE CENTER OF A BUSY INTERSECTION, SHE PANICS BUT MANAGES TO COAST PAST THE INTERSECTION AND OFF THE STREET. SHE’S UPSET AND CALLS ME, SHE TRIES TO START THE CAR AGAIN, IT STARTS AND SHE DRIVES IT TO THE DEALER. SHE’S GIVEN A LOANER, SHE STAYS IN THE CITY HOPING SHE’LL GET A CALL FROM THE DEALER, NO CALL, SHE COMES HOME, 70 MILES AWAY.

THIS AFTERNOON 2 DAYS LATER, WE SPOKE TO A SERVICE MANAGER. HE EXPLAINS THEY WERE ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE STALLING, HAVE RAN SEVERAL TESTS WITH NO SUCCESS. HE BELIEVES IT MAY BE ELECTRICAL BUT AT THIS POINT THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHATS WRONG WITH IT AND THEY WILL HAVE TO KEEP IT THROUGH NEXT WEEK.

OUR NEW CAR WILL SPEND MORE TIME IN THE SHOP THAN WE HAVE OWNED IT BY THE TIME WE HEAR FROM THEM AGAIN. MY WIFE PICKUPS OUR GRANDSON FROM SCHOOL, THE CAR SEAT IS IN THE CAR. MY DAUGHTER AND I ARE CONCERNED FOR THEIR SAFETY. MY WIFE COULD HAVE BEEN HURT OR WORSE. MY DAUGHTER HAS EXPRESSED SHE IS NOT COMFORTABLE WITH HER 5 YEAR OLD SON RIDING IN THE NEW NAVIGATOR.

THIS PROMPTED ME TO CONTACT THE SALESMAN AND EXPLAIN THE SITUATION AND I NO LONGER WANT THIS CAR. HE OFFERS TO SEE ABOUT SWAPPING IT FOR ANOTHER, AN HOUR LATER HE INFORMS ME HE CAN GET US ANOTHER JUST LIKE IT. I HAVE TO FINANCE $42,566.15.

IF I DO THAT I WILL HAVE SPENT $130,000.00 ON A NEW LINCOLN NAVIGATOR.

I CONTACTED LINCOLN, I WANT THE CAR REPLACED, I’M TO HAVE AN ANSWER BY NEXT FRIDAY A WEEK FROM NOW. IT DOESN’T LOOK GOOD.
