Car was new with 6 miles on it 4 days previously on delivery. Came home from work the evening before. Started car next morning and it moved back two feet just enough to block the garage door from closing. Engine stopped and could not be started but it did turn over. Worse yet, despite calls to two Lincoln dealerships and talking to mechanics the car could not be put into neutral.

It had to be dragged out of the garage and dragged onto the flat bed transport truck. (The truck also mowed over several plants and bedding around my driveway). Then dragged off the truck again at my local Lincoln dealership. Great for tire flat spotting, good for yanking on driveline parts as well.

It is a "known" issue. My worry is that if it happens in traffic and the vehicle cannot be moved it could be a serious hazard. One MUST be able to put a vehicle into neutral to move it. That's my grave concern. Of course, after it causes death or injury they will fix it.

Update from Jun 2, 2019: It turned out to be a defective Fuel Pump Control Module. Still, why was it impossible to get the truck into neutral so it could be pushed, pulled for service.
