This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Water gets in the seal of the upper rear tail light/cargo light. The water leaks through damaging the headliner and carpet. Also blew my fuse and none of the lights work in it, as well as blowing out the fuse every time I replace it. There is still no updated version or recall for it all you can do is get a new one and hope it lasts a little longer.
Everytime it rains the 3rd brake light fills up with water. Had Nissan replace it once and it still does it. Nissans fix to there problem isn't even a fix.
2002 Nissan fontier crewcab. The 3rd tailight/stoplight that is mounted to the roof has a design flaw. First water fills the light assembly then it leaks into the cab. The carpet in the truck is now ruined, along with the headliner. A heavy downpour will force cups of water into the cab - not just a few drops. See ODI#10025784 - as mine is not an isolated case. This problem needs a Nissan service bullitin or a recall.
