I have a 2010 Nissan Frontier. I am 70 years old and have been driving a stick since I was 16. I mention this because the dealership asked me if I ever drove a stick before. this is my third Nissan PU all have been stick shift. my last one I sold with 242,000 miles and it still ran great. I replaced the clutch at 135,000. so when I retired I bought a 2010 Nissan Frontier. The clutch has failed at 48,000 miles. dealership told me it's not covered it's a ware item. Bull Not at 50K. I took my truck to a transmission specialist. He was aware of the problem with the premature clutch failure and that Nissan is aware but refuses to do anything about it. He also made me aware that even though I am replacing the clutch, pressure plate etc. with Nissan parts it will fail again because of the design of the clutch. Nissan can fix the problem but won't. It's going to cost me about $800.00 for repairs. So now I have to decide if I want to get a new truck or spend $800-$1000 ever 40-50k miles .being retired and this truck is paid for I was really not looking for another car payment that is why I purchased this truck based on passed performance of my Nissan PU's. If I do buy another truck it won't be a "NISSAN"

Update from Mar 21, 2015: I contacted Nissan of North America on 3/12 they called on 3/13 said they would get back to me on Monday 3/16 they did. said they would call again on Thursday 3/20 they did at which time they told me I was SOL problem not covered. If they would me this on the first call I would have my truck now as it is It's at a transmission shop being repaired at a cost on $775.00 plus the money I am losing not being able to run my business, and I won't have it back until 3/25 maybe, Oh and Nissan of North America told me and I quote.
