Murano LS V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50,000 miles

Doors fail to lock, sometime gets locked from inside. Also this has affected memory settings, gas fill door and per service technician this all maybe related to door lock actuator need to be replaced.

This is causing some very serious issues when I do to fill up gas:

When I get out of car to fill gas and close driver side door, it gets locked on its own with key inside

The gas lid lock does not open, it sometime takes me more than 5 mins to keep on trying locking/unlocking.

Update from Jun 20, 2013: I finally gave up on Nissan Consumer affairs when they are in state of denial that the part is bad quality. I went ahead and spend $$$ from my pocket to fix just the driver side actuator, but it started a new problem with my passenger side controls and they are asking me to replace actuator for each door which means 4 times the cost of repair. I can understand if one side actuator goes bad, but all 4 of them clearly indicates bad quality part which was bound to go bad

Murano SE V6

The power locks/truck lock on this vehicle tend to get stuck & will not unlock unless you manually unlock it or pull the hatch back into position for the truck lock. I have only owned this car since 2007 & recently it seems like everything is falling apart. This is very annoying because you just might possibly lock yourself out of the car if you didn't realize the lock did not release all the way.
