The front sunroof on a 2022 Nissan Rogue Platinum blew out while traveling on highway at normal speed. There were no warnings. The car dealership has ordered replacement parts to repair the sunroof glass. They said they had not heard of this and tried to blame it on a rock but the remaining glass is at an upward tilt. It was taped that day.
After driving the vehicle, we-??ll notice a gas smell coming from the car when parked in the garage. There is no leak or any issues with the vehicle running. Sometimes the odor is minimal and sometimes very strong. Nissan has reported awareness of this and is looking for a fix.
Smell of gasoline inside my car while driving and when parked inside my garage.Brought to the dealer and said to me that the are many car owners of the same model who are complaining of the same problem but they cannot fixed it at this time and will just call me if they will find solution of the problem but until now the dealer haven't call me back.The problem is getting worse and it is a significant fire hazard in my car and also in my garage.
Unknown Very strong gas smell inside the vehicle and outside the vehicle and under hood. This started with less the 4000 miles on it and it is just over 6200 miles at this time. I brought it to local nissan dealer lia nissan of Saratoga and was advised they can not find anything wrong with it and they can not do anything without a recall. So I am driving a vehicle around with excessive gas smell inside and out. This seems dangerous to me. I did express my concern to both the dealership and nissan themselves and they still refuse to do anything. I asked what happens if I am in an accident and my car starts on fore or if I am driving and my car starts on fire. The service recep. Said well it looks like you will have a law suit. So don't think they realize this is not good. Breathing in gas is a health issue and this should be addressed and should not be ignored. These vehicles had gas issues the year prior so why isn't this a concern for nissan. This is a new vehicle smelling gas is a hazard and puts myself, my family and people driving around me at risk. radio control system which includes backup camera, stopped working. Manufacturer isn't providing replacement though they admit the part needs to be replaced.
Gas fumes from engine compartment -€" after the car has been driven 20-30 mins enough to heat up the engine and then parked (turned off) for 10-15 minutes a strong smell of gasoline is detected, you can smell it either by sniffing in the front grill or if you start it and use the outdoor air circulation in the cabin it will come through the vents. There are enough fumes to fill a 1 car garage in 30 mins with a thick odor of gasoline. The fumes are nauseating and cause headaches. My salesman at Hawk Nissan suggested changing gas to a top tier brand so I starting using Mobile but no help with the fume issue. After speaking with a service manager at Woodfield Nissan, he said that he-€™s had a few cars come in recently with the same problem. Nothing is showing up mechanically so they chalked it up to a -€œbreak-in period-€ and/or possibly a coating used in manufacturing. Brought it back to Woodfield Nissan a couple weeks later stating the oil dipstick has a strong smell of gasoline same smell I get in the cabin and around the car. He found nothing unusual with the oil smell. I took it into Hawk Nissan Oct 2022 with 800 miles now with 2943 miles still having the issue. Not sure if this is affecting my MPG but I'm only getting 18-20 MPG mix of city & highway driving. Recently I'm seeing a lot of the same complaints with the 2023 models.
After 9 months of owning this car. When I drive for 20 or so miles and turn the vehicle off for a short period then restart I smell gas and fumes make me sick and my eyes water at times. The dealer found nothing wrong. Nissan corporate got involved after I emailed them. Their engineering tech confirmed it was happening.
Our car was in the garage. I opened the trunk not using remote opener, but from outside. I was taking groceries out. I was leaning in and picking up bags when I noticed that trunk door was coming down. I tried to move quickly out of the way and hit my left side of my forehead. Above my eye. As a result I have a black and blue under my eye and a bump on my forehead and now several days of headaches. So, what is happening is that car trunk door when it was opening reached or hit the top of the garage. That caused it to start coming down immediately. There is no sensor to see if there is something in the way. Similar to garage door where there a sensor that something is in the way and it will stop. We have a small video of what happens. I do not feel safe in my new car. There-€™s a problem with the turbo\acceleration. It won-€™t accelerate for 2-€"3 seconds when I push the gas. And when it does it jumps forward fairly fast. If I-€™m at a stop and I-€™m ready to cross and I take my foot off the break and the car is going like 1 mile an hour-€¦ then press the gas-€¦ it-€™s as if it-€™s in neutral. The car won-€™t move forward for 2-3 seconds. It-€™s going to get me into an accident. For example, If I am at an intersection, and I cross and a car fails to stop at the stop sign-€¦ And I see them coming towards my car-€¦ I will not be able to move out of the way because of the acceleration problem. Or if I-€™m on the highway and am slowing down due to treaffic ahead, and the car behind me doesn-€™t see and slams on their breaks and I see and hear it and look to my left and see no cars and I want to speed up into the left to avoid being hit by this car behind me-€¦. My car will not move and I will get hit anyway. I have a five year old son. I do not feel that he and I are safe in this car. Are all these new Rogues like this"???" If so, it needs to be fixed immediately!! Please help!!!
I purchased a 2022 Nissan Rogue Platinum brand new in March of 2022. On the drive home from the dealership, I noticed my driver's side rear view mirror was quite shaky. After speaking with my salesperson, I tried to fold the mirror in and back out again to see if that would help the situation. It did not. Whenever I drive at speeds as low as 20 mph, the mirror will shake and give a distorted view. I took the vehicle into a local dealership to have the mechanics look at it and possibly fix it. My car has less than 500 miles on it at this point. The technicians could not figure out how to fix the issue. The service manager drove my vehicle and confirmed the issue. Then, he drove another new Rogue on the lot. He found that Rogue to have the same issue. He contacted a Nissan field engineer who stated the issue is known and considered to be normal. I am unsure how it could be considered normal as the passenger mirror works as expected, but the driver's mirror shakes and vibrates.
