DETERMINING CORRECT
WINDSHIELD WASHER PUMP OPERATION
SERVICE INFORMATION
The windshield washer system of the APPLIED VEHICLES operates differently than those
used in past models.
The benefits of this new style of system are:
ï?· More efficient use of fluid
ï?· The windshield washer fluid spray does not block the driverâ??s vision when cleaning
the windshield
ï?· The windshield washer fluid sprays directly onto the windshield only. This prevents
the washer fluid from being sprayed onto the vehicle behind you, or nearby
pedestrians.
If the customer indicates that the front windshield washer is not working, or has poor
performance, use the SERVICE PROCEDURE in this bulletin to confirm correct operation.
ï?· If the windshield washer pump is found to be functioning properly, educate the
customer on the system benefits, as indicated above.
ï?· If the windshield washer pump is not be functioning properly, refer to the ESM for
further diagnostic information.
