Vehicle parked in residential location. Driven at least daily. Fuel line chewed through in multiple locations by small animal. Line is simple plastic and was easily violated. Animal chose no other part to chew. Fault resulted in replacement of entire gas tank and fuel line assembly because they are one part. Fuel line was compromised.

The contact owns a 2010 Nissan Titan. The contact stated that the hydraulic brakes were exhibiting signs of failure. The contact was concerned that if the hydraulic brakes failed, the emergency brake would be the only brakes left and would not be substantial enough to stop the vehicle. The dealer inspected the vehicle and advised that the failure could not be repaired. The manufacturer advised the contact that the emergency brake was only designed to keep the vehicle secure while in park but not to stop the vehicle if the hydraulic brakes failed. The contact was concerned that the failure could become a severe safety issue. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 4,000. Updated 2/23/11 the consumer stated the vehicle continues to not stop. The fuel gauge was not reading accurately.
