My 2017 Nissan Titan XD will downshift from D to 1-6 while I am driving sometimes. It has been doing this since I purchased the vehicle. The only thing I can relate this to is my phone. I use the phone on a vent clip for Waze GPS navigation, which goes right behind the gear shift paddle button on the AC vent. Seems like anytime I reach for my hone and pull it is when the truck downshifts. This has caused me to drive off the road twice because it all of a sudden jolts my truck to a low gear and is somewhat frightening.
