ABS system would engage coming to a stop on dry pavement consistently 1 in 5 stops causing brake loss at low speed, tire pressure warning system light on. Dealer diagnosed and replaced ABS pump and wheel sensor, vehicle out of warranty. Repair cost $1467.25 for pump, dealer replaced $500 sensor under warranty?

The contact owns a 2005 Pontiac Vibe. While driving 30 mph he was unable to stop the vehicle when he attempted to engage the brake pedal and collided into the rear of a vehicle. There were no injuries. The insurance company confirmed that the vehicle was destroyed. A police report was filed. The current and the failure mileage were 200,000.

: the contact stated while traveling 25 mph and during right turns, there was squeaking and scraping noises coming from the breaks when the brake pedal was depressed or released. There was a second problem of a hinge on the right front door causing a grinding noise when the door was opened or closed. The service dealer and manufacturer were notified.
