TIPM issue

I live and commute in the Washington DC area. My truck has regular service and oil changes and is a pretty good running truck. The 495 is one of the deadliest highways in America. I am driving along fighting with the traffic, when my screen went black. While I am steering at this black screen, the truck locked up on me. I almost hit another car in front of me and sideswiped another. Damaged my bumper, but everything else remained in tact. This was very scary, but nevertheless I am okay. I am glad that I dropped my kids off at daycare. This was very scary and I immediately logged on to search if this in fact happened to anyone else. Hopefully a life doesn't have to be taken before this is addressed. Let your voice be heard.

While driving down the road the gauge cluster dies, looses power, for a few seconds then reboots.

My 2013 Ram 1500 has a digital display screen between the gauge cluster. The screen is customizable to include the vehicle info you want to monitor in real time. A digital speedometer is the largest part of this display, with two customizable gauges on each side of it. Several times over the last week after starting the truck the display has been completely blank, with no speedometer or gauges shown. This is a pain because the steering wheel is in the line of sight blocking the traditional speedometer.
