Vehicle serviced 1 time by Goodyear location 164 W 7th AVE Eugene OR 97401 (541)343-2501 service date Oct. 5th 2023 following service was performed; Replace Resistor Spark Plug, Spark plug- Iridium OE Exact plug, R&R Spark plugs, R&R spark plugs Ignition Coil set, Intake manifold set, cleared codes. Ongoing issues; unresolved by services performed 1.Check engine light 2.Airbag light 3.Hot temp light 4.Power train light 5.Parking brake does not work properly and will roll if not parked on a level surface 6.Master switch driver control will stop working unless I pop it out of the control panel disconnect it and reconnect it. 7.Defrost does not work properly in which makes it hard to see when driving and there is moisture building inside the cabin creating mold which is a health concern. 8.Vehicle will switch into different gears while driving when brake pedal has not been applied or used. 9.Vehicle sometimes shakes and stalls in drive and reverse.

The contact owns a 2013 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle made an abnormal sound. Additionally, the air bag warning light illuminated intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who informed the contact that the seat needed to be removed to inspect the air bag sensor. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 35,000
The airbag light turns on and beeps. The truck is available for inspection. A dealership told us it was the sensors that have gone bad. It is odd that all the sensors would go bad all at one time. Concern is if there is an accident, the air bags will not go off as intended. There is also concern that the airbags could go off while driving. Also it is beeping often while driving and it is distracting. There are no other issues. But we see that there has been recalls in the past over airbag systems on this truck. We are very concerned since the truck carries very precious cargo.

The contact stated while the vehicle was being driven by a friend into the parking lot at approximately 3 MPH, the two front and side curtain air bags deployed inadvertently and injured the driver's neck. The friend was in the process of taking the keys out of the ignition when the failure occurred. There was a crash data log and air bag warning light illuminated. There was no medical treatment. The contact disconnected the battery and control module so no additional failure occurred. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 136,990

Air bag light came up. Headed to nearest mechanic he said there was a recall on airbags for this type of vehicle. Made an appointment on dealer. On my way engine light came up and vehicle started shaking
The contact owned a 2013 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while her husband was driving at 60-65 MPH on the highway, he crashed head-on into a culvert. The driver side air bag failed to deploy, and the front driver-€™s side seat belt failed to retract. A police report was filed. The ambulance arrived on scene and transported the driver to the hospital where he suffered from a chipped and fractured vertebrae. The driver was the only occupant at the time of the failure. The vehicle was deemed totaled. The vehicle was towed to an impound lot where the insurance company was retrieving the vehicle from. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 108,000.
Air suspension system fails and allows the vehicle to drop to the suspension stops. This results in a very rough and unlevel ride. As there is no cushion in this condition the vehicle bounces horribly at road and bridge seams. Very unsafe...
The contact owned a 2013 Ram 1500. The contact stated that he was hit head-on by another vehicle. The contact stated that although the airbag warning lights illuminated the instrument panel; however, the airbags failed to deploy. The contact was taken to the hospital where he was treated for the soreness to his back. The other driver was able to walk away from the accident and appeared to not be injured. A police report was filed at the scene (DIV421070591). Due to the accident, the vehicle was towed to an independent tow yard and was deemed a total loss. The dealer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that there was a recall on the vehicle(recall unknown); however, he was informed that the recall was not related to the airbag failure. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle was destroyed. The failure mileage was approximately 242,000. The VIN was not available.
The contact owns a 2013 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle crashed into the rear of the a second vehicle causing severe damage to the front end. During the crash the air bag did not deploy. The driver sustained a fractured right foot and bruises the arms and torso which required medical treatment. A police report was taken at the scene and the vehicle was towed away. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The local dealer was not contacted. Front end impact during a traffic collision failed to actuate the airbags resulting in a neck/upper back injury. The collision occurred at approx. 35-40mph into another car (broadside collision).
Been experiencing a 'service airbag system' across my info screen along with an annoying tone. It happens when the vehicle is running, parked, as well as all forward and reverse gears. Today was the first opportunity I had to get the truck into the dealership to diagnose the issue. Found that the airbag in the drivers side seat has a faulty circuit. I believe that this is a major safety issue & should be repaired by the manufacturer.
The contact owned a 2013 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while making a left turn at low speeds, the steering wheel failed to re-align to drive straight. The contact veered off the road and crashed into the rear of another vehicle causing the front driver tire, lower ball joint separated from the steering knuckle, inner tie rod end, shock assembly and lower control arm to detach. The vehicle was restarted and the steering resumed to normal but due to the front driver side damage, it needed to be towed. The contact mentioned that the power steering failed on several occasions while driving at low speeds. The air bag failed to deploy and the seat belt failed to restrain him. As a result, the contact hit his face and wrist against the steering wheel and windshield glass. The contact mentioned he would be going to the hospital for his injuries. The other driver was not injured. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to the contacts residence. The dealer nor manufacturer were informed of the failure. The vehicle was destroyed. The failure mileage was approximately 97,000.
Vehicle has 77,000 miles and @ 1000 miles ago a noticeable change in ride and handling. Ride has become very stiff at all speeds above 35 mph. Vehicle also has a tendency to give the felling of floating when cornering. I have taken it to the dealer 4 times and they cannot find any codes to tell them something is wrong" they have change many parts, shocks, idler arms, rubber suspension bushings, etc, they have acknowledged the rough ride, but cannot find the reason" I believe it is a sensor or regulator valve, that controls the air suspension at various speeds and when cornering. The truck rides like the there is excessive air pressure in the air bags to soften the ride at various speeds,
My vehicle is prompting a warning sign on the dash screen stating "service airbag system". since it started, the screen on my dash started glitching a few minutes while driving or idling, then it'll prompt the warning statement again. Not sure if related, but ever since that happened, another electrical component started acting up such as my air conditioning and TPMS light. The A/C comes on and off when turned using the cold. However, if heat is used, it seems work fine. The TPMS I'm not sure if related, but I know all these symptoms followed after the air bag warning started. I first noticed the issue a few month's back when I got in the truck and started it. A week after, the A/C started acting up. I'm appalled to find out that this wasn't a part of the airbag safety recall. I've looked up the issue and found that there are many other customers experiencing this same problem with their vehicles. So far, I've been fortunate to not have an incident yet, but I'm also terrified there might be one in the future. Any help from the NHTSA would be greatly appreciated.
I buy this vehicle and the dealer post to be fixed but I had to wait 3 weeks to do the repair and the light is still on on air bag system. Since we buy the truck it was like that.
Constant electrical issues. Air bag light came on multiple times before finally being repaired. Ac/heater motor went out 4 times before it was determined the wiring harness had burnt. Heater would go on and off on it's own
The passenger occupancy sensor does not work properly which disables the airbag even if somebody is riding and the passenger side because the vehicle thinks nobody is there this could potentially be fatal for the passenger during a crash I found this out when a passenger unbuckled the seat belt (this happens while driving or stationary) the chime/ light did not come on after further inspection I found that the in the seat pad sensor must be faulty I've reached out to Ram they have no intentions of repairing the faulty safety equipment.
I have a warning light lit up for the air bags and the message on the saved messages says service air bags. The air bags have never deployed for any reason. The warning light came on when I started the truck for the first time it wasn't moving when the light first came on.
The contact owns a 2013 Ram 1500. While driving 25 mph, the passenger side curtain and side air bags deployed, as well as the seat belt pretensioner, without warning or an impact occurring. The vehicle was taken to national Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram (2223 N marine blvd, jacksonville, nc 28546, (844) 872-2972) where the contact was informed that there were no recalls on the vehicle. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that a technician would be sent out in two days to inspect the vehicle. A complaint was filed with the manufacturer. The failure mileage was 69,195.
