So, this started today. At lower speeds, when making a turn in either direction, the steering pushes back on the steering wheel (like to hard nudges) in the opposite direction. At the same time, the service power steering icon with a steering wheel pops up for 0.2 seconds. I had to record in slow motion to catch the icon that pops up. It happened twice in the morning and almost every turn in the afternoon. This can and will cause a wreck if it is not fixed.

Out of no where my steering became difficult and then easy and the difficult in a middle of a turn. I had no clue there was ESP issues till I looked it up. There is a recall but my tuck is not on the list. Wtf we spend all this money and there just junk now a days.

I was getting on to the on ramp to get on the interstate when my steering locked up and I ended up hitting a guard rail on the driver side. I was lucky enough nobody was behind me and that I had not got on the interstate yet.. I haven't been able to get fixed yet because not only is it going to cost around 2 grand but it’s almost impossible to find the part. Everything about is on back order.

2018 Ram 1500, 55,000 miles and there is a Electric Power Steering (EPS) failure when vehicle is cold. Dealer said unit needs replacing even though it is most likely the circuit board or internal connections. $2,300 for EPS unit from dealer and they said it will be at least 45 days before they can even get it. It's f**g Winter and I won't be able to use my 4x4 until it's fixed. So yeah, f RAM! I will never buy another and will tell everyone I know about my experience with Ram reliability.
