The contact owns a 2014 Ram 2500 equipped with a Strattec bolt lock 5/8-inch pin lock. The contact stated while hauling a 2016 Outdoors Wind River RV, the lock detached from the pin causing damages to the trailer. The contact was able to park on the offramp but was unable to attach the trailer back to the vehicle. The contact stated that a bystander assisted in towing the RV to a local dealer where the pin and lock were replaced. The contact called the manufacturer of Strattec and made them aware of the failure. The failure mileage was not applicable.
The contact owns a 2014 Ram 2500. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 15V541000 (steering), 15V461000 (equipment), 15V459000 (air bags), and 15V460000 (air bags, seat belts). The part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.
