This same problem occurred again this past Feb. I needed to replace the ABS module at a cost of $900 out of my pocket. This HAS to be a RAM recall since everyone who owns this make and model of truck is having the same problem. Two class action lawsuits that I know of so far. I would love to open one myself.

Update from Dec 10, 2023: How can this known defective part NOT be a recall issue?

Was diagnosed as a faulty electronic brake module. Been to dealership twice. The first time they didn't receive the right part. The second time the part was defective. Now I'm told the part is being re-engineered and and won't be resolved until February of 2024! Then they have to produce it. Feel like it's unsafe to drive and can't sell as is without taking a large loss.

ABS ebs module failure

Have been experiencing my ABS and traction control lights flickering on and off the dash. CONSTANTLY. While those lights appeared and went away, messages saying "Service Antilock Brake System" and "Service Electronic Braking System" would appear at the same time. The messages and chimes occur once every minute or two, it is non stop. The truck had just hit 38,000 miles when it started to alert me and I started to notice reduced stopping power. However, the cruise control feature has been working intermittently for the last 4-5 months.

After taking it to the dealer this Monday, 09/18/2023, I learned that the ABS module has failed and needs replaced. Not a big deal, +/- $250 part, should be a quick fix. NOPE, part is backordered until the end of FEBRUARY 2024. After looking into the parts availability, I've learned of many others having this same issue. Is anyone else waiting THIS LONG for the part?

I have been waiting for RAM to send the part to my mechanic for 4 months. The part they sent 2 months ago was did not fix the problem. I have been driving a 2500 with a 5th wheel without ABS for 4 months.
