Intermittent ABS brake failure warnings displayed in the message center and warning lamps, message comes on and off erratically. Speed Control is inoperative when message is displayed. Concern has occurred immediately after starting the vehicle before putting into gear and while driving at any speed. Concern is very erratic, does not usually stay on steady for more then 30 minutes. I have multiple videos of warnings coming on and off. Vehicle is currently at the dealer for repair 1/9/2024. The Ram dealer states the ABS HCU module failed and needs replaced. Dealer indicated this was a common issue with 17/18 model year RAM Heavy Duty's. Obviously erratic operation/function of the ABS could potentially cause dangerous braking conditions especially when loaded or towing.
Abs light and message on dash came on indicating electrical abs service needs to be performed. Took it to dealer was told needs abs sensor but they are not available. Vehicle is not safe to drive as brakes will lock up if applied.
Truck is a 2018 Ram 2500 6.7l Diesel Cummins with ~80,000 miles. ABS System Pump Issue. Began around August of 2023 and randomly shows error codes and warning lamps. It is getting progressively worse/more frequent as of today January 9, 2024. Warnings lights for ABS and Traction Control come on and off during drive cycles randomly. This has made driving in wet or icy conditions dangerous for me and my family due to loss of traction control and the inability for the ABS system to safely stop the truck in wet or icy conditions. Error codes have been confirmed with a code reader "C0020 - ABS Recirculation Pump -?" General Electrical Failure"

ABS system service light comes on, along with message on dash. When this happens, loss of abs brakes. Took to local dealer, was told faulty abs sensor, but none were available at this time. I have a 2018 Ram 2500 sitting in my driveway because it-??s not safe to drive
My ABS dash light and traction control light started coming on. Service Antilock Braking System and alternated to Service Electronic Brake System. It would constantly bing and display the ABS light and the Traction Control light
Truck throws code C0020-01 and my ABS and traction control lights on dash board start to go in an out. Proposes a HUGE safety risk. Truck has 48,000 miles which puts it out of the warranty that covers this issue. Lots and lots of info online about this being a common issue and RAM has yet to recall it still.
Intermittent ABS / traction control light and dinging! 49000 miles. Just like every other person complaining about the same exact issue on 2018s. I-??m a disabled vet with a family of four on a single income. I can-??t afford a 1200 abs module that lasts only 1-2 years. Clearly this is a major manufacturer issue, experienced by many Americans. This needs to become a recall. This is [XXX]. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
After much research and blogs this 2018 2500 diesel turbo has a problem with its antilock braking system module. I have taken it to several places since the light keeps going off and on and have no solutions since this part is on back order. I need to find a solution for this truck. Please advise someone.
My truck has an intermittent ABS light along with a traction control light and a message displaying Service antilock brake system and service electronic brake system. these lights also sometimes stay on until the next ignition cycle or even several ignition cycles. it also disables the cruise control as well causing an extreme loss of speed on the highway especially when traveling up steep grades. there were no issues leading to the cause of the lights to come on to my knowledge and i have not visited any sort of dealership or service center regarding this issue nor do i have the time or funds to correct this issue at this time.
The following messages suddenly came up on my screen. Service electronic braking system, service ABS system. Then the following warning lights came on. Traction control warning, ABS light, tire pressure unavailable, parking sensors unavailable. The cruise control is also unavailable. It is winter here in MN and I thought it would be ok until I get it fixed, I will just use 4 wheel drive. 4 wheel drive is also not available. Am not able to get the vehicle repaired, parts on national back order for months. Do not have a backup vehicle. Have to drive an unsafe vehicle to and from work in winter conditions. Can-??t lose my job.
The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and the Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) issue is present on my vehicle. The problem is intermittent and occurrences cannot be predicted, duration fault varies, sometimes repeatedly cycling fault/no fault/fault etc. When the fault occurs cruise control is either canceled (if active) or not available. Occurs at varios speeds. Please refer to NHTSA's open investigation (NHTSA Action Number: PE22012).
The abs and traction control keep going in and out and is very unsafe to drive such a large truck. I called dealership and they don-??t have the abs module and haven-??t had it for over a year. So they know it-??s an issue and can-??t give us any since manufacturer is at fault. My abs and traction don-??t work. Thank you
ABS lights go on and the truck chimes sometimes, not all the time. Cruise intermittently does not work as well. This is a well-documented issue online. I took this to the original dealer and he said this is a common problem. Even after getting it fixed, it will occur again. The dealer said it is still supposedly safe to drive, but it is very concerning to see ABS warning lights regularly popping up on my dashboard. Many others have parked their trucks and are not driving them because of this issue.
abs / traction control system failure and cruise control no longer function. This has been intermittent since May, 2023. This became permanent in November, 2023.
ABS and Stability unit has failed, vehicle has 26160 miles. Dealer and manufacturer know of defect and refuses to provide any fix. This is a serious safety problem, and vehicle is unable to be used.
