While driving, ABS system warning lights illuminated accompanied by intermittent alarm. ABS System Failure confirmed by selling dealer, further confirmed via Fiat Chrysler Automobile (FCA) TSB notice "C0020-01-ABS PUMP MOTOR CONTROL - GENERAL ELECTRICAL FAILURE." This TSB particularly confirms/advises both the HCU and the ABS be serviced / replaced. The original pump motor is no longer available and per dealer is being re-engineered due to defect. This failure is a significant risk to the vehicle operator, passengers, and the general public and should be remedied immediately at the manufacturer's expense via NHTSA / FCA initiated recall.
The ABS pump motor control circuit has an electrical failure. The truck's safety is at risk of incident without the help of the ABS system. The problem is persistent as the ABS warning lamp and Service Electronic Brake System message pops up every time the brake is applied. The dealership recommends the part be replaced.
The ABS control module is not working. This turns off the anti-lock brakes and I have nearly hit someone when the brakes locked and skid across the intersection. The consistency beeping and vehicle message block the information screen. I have been waiting for over a year for the parts to be replaced. It is a shame that new vehicles safety systems doesn't work. The part is 68347098AA the replacement 68347098AB or 68347098AC is not available.
Hitting bump or random moments (intermittent). The ABS module comes up with code C0020-01 for ABS Pump Module General Electrical Fault. Truck loses ABS, Traction Control, as well as Cruise Control. Vehicles Odo is 7284 miles.
ABS and Electronic braking system lights come on and off. No codes. Reading about it and there are thousands of cases across the US. Something has to be done. Definitely a safety issue.

Service electronic braking system Notification and ding won-??t stop going off. Truck has less than 50k and through my research this is a common issue with this truck. I don-??t want to drive it anymore fit safety reasons. Bought the truck 2 months ago and have had an issue since I purchased
The contact owns a 2018 Ram 2500. The contact stated that while in reverse(R), and while driving at various speeds, the head unit became pixelated and would appear and disappear without warning. Additionally, on several occasions, while driving at various speeds the radio, A/C, and car phone were turned on and off inadvertently. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the head unit needed to be replaced due to it separating. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 60, 000.
Intermittent alerts related to service ABS light on the dash along with Traction Control light. Seems to disable ABS when the fault light comes on, also disables cruise control during driving when the service alerts flash on the dash. Constant beeping of the alert is a major distraction. Truck has 26,000 miles in it. Dealership said ABS module and HCU need to be replaced but parts are on back order until August but are not positive when parts will be available. Why is this not a recall?
The ABS and anti skid lights on the dash come on and off sporadically. The pump and module have been replaced. The problem did not occur for awhile. Now it has started over again. It seems harder to brake since the problem has started.
The ABS Service Antilock Brake System messages comes on intermittently and chimes every 2-3 seconds. Some days the message and chime does not come on, but it is usually the day after the truck has been turned off for a period of time. The issue started on 16 March 2024, I still have the issue today, and it happens at any speed. After doing some research, I found that many of the same year and model truck has had the issue, and it seems to be the Antilock brake module Electronic Control Unit and or Hydraulic Control Unit. I contacted the dealership to see if I can get the issue repaired under my extended warranty, but the part is on back order. The vehicle is available for inspection, but I haven't had a chance to take it to the dealership as of yet.
The anti-lock braking system, traction control and speed control system continue to flash on and off. While driving here in Huntsville, Alabama it snowed and my braking system failed causing me to nearly crash.
My 2018 RAM 2500 has 30,176 miles on it. Two years ago the HCU and module controlling the ABS system failed and was replaced. When the system fails numerous lights and warning chimes activate and the cruise control stops working. The system has failed again and the dealer tells me it will take 45+ days to get the parts necessary to repair the ABS system. After researching online I discovered an open class action lawsuit against FCA for this problem. I also discovered that this is a common problem with 2500 and 3500 RAM trucks after reading owner forum sites but so far no recall has been issued by NTHSA. This is a major safety issue for owners and needs to be fixed.
The ABS service light keeps coming on and beeping. It will go off after a little while but then returns intermittantly while driving. Apparently this is a known problem and should be a recall. Many owners are wasting thousands of dollars for repairs that should be covered by a recall.
The component or system that is failing or malfunction is the ABS Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) and ABS module. The malfunction is turning off my ABS and TCS system, making the vehicle unsafe to drive. Also the ABS and TCS dash lights are constantly dinging and going off and on distracting me while I'm driving. This issue is well know with the dealer. Here is a TBS from 2020: RAM TSB S2005000004 The vehicle has been inspected and and the ABS module was already replaced, but didn't fix the issue. This has been happening since I bought the truck.
My truck has right at 80,000 miles. Every so often I get two dash lights. One is ABS service and anti skid warning. They randomly show up. They pop up very quickly then go away. But it happens non stop. I have done some research and it seems that there is thousands of people with the same truck and year model with this same issue. I went to the dealer in Seguin, Tx and they told me that there was really nothing I could do to fix the issue, unless I wanted to wait eight months. But the new part rarely last. They flat out told me to not follow any one too close because hard braking could fail without anti skid working properly. RAM needs to make this right. I can-??t believe that there has been this many people complain about a serious safety concern and nothing has been done.
Warning light to service the Electronic Braking System came on. Has been intermittent since. Contacted dealer and the HCU needs replacing. Vehicle is under mfg extended warranty. They claim part not covered. There are hundreds of complaints about this along with a class action lawsuit filed last year in CA. Brakes may fail without repair. 4WD will not engage since warning light came on. Lawsuit alleges Chrysler knew of this defect before selling. I have scheduled a replacement of the unit for 3/1/2024
The truck last year started flashing the ABS and traction control lights. On the screen it says I have to service my braking system. As soon as that warning comes on, I lose traction control and it-??s awful to dry in snowy or wet conditions. The truck just hit 28 thousand miles. I contacted the Ram dealership and they are aware of the issue but stated there is no recall so they-??re not addressing the issue.
