I received a recall notice months ago to have the left hand ball joint replaced. I contacted the local dealer several times (elko motor company elko, Nevada) and they are telling me they are not getting the parts from the factory. I believe the dealer. I am concerned about what could happen pulling my 42' toy hauler if this fails.

The contact owns a 2012 Dodge Ram 3500. The contact stated that the tires were wearing prematurely. The vehicle was taken to the dealer multiple times. The technician diagnosed that the tie rod and bolt joints needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 8,000 and the current mileage was 31,300.

Driving on freeway, went to change lanes and then all of a sudden the front of the vehicle started to shake erratically almost causing me to wreck and/or hit other vehicles. Could not stop the vehicle and it started to lose control. Had to come to a complete stop on the freeway in order for the vehicle to stop shaking. I have made several complaints and attempts to have the vehicle repaired but the dealership keeps telling me that they cannot fix and do not have the parts. I have also contacted Chrysler directly and they do not have a time frame for the parts. I explained the severity of the situation almost crashing and their response was "that would be unfortunate". no help at all! said I would need to go on a waiting list.

I received an official recall notice for my vehicle (recall notice N49/NHTSA 13V-529) affecting the left tie rod. I have tried having my truck serviced at two different dealerships for this recall since receiving this notice in late December 2013. The dealerships have not been able to schedule my service because they say Chrysler is having difficulty sending the replacement parts. The repair delay (three months) is unreasonable and should be addressed with Chrysler. Is it possible for owners like me to purchase quality after market parts to repair/address only the recall issues and have Chrysler cover the cost if Chrysler is having difficulty finding suitable quality parts vendors?

Had right front tire replaced at 25,000 miles due to wear. In January, 2014, rec'd notice from Chrysler to take vehicle in for parts replacement to prevent wreck. Service dept at dealer said 'park it unsafe to drive..be 10-12 wks before part can be secured to replace'..called the recall people they said 'only 1 part per week going to dealerships to repair 2008-2012 model vehicles in the 1500, 2500, 3500 series trucks..went to dealership on Jan 27, 2014, they proclaimed not to know the rate of repairs parts available..said they called and found out same info I had..but they wanted to work a deal to get us out of the unsafe truck and into a newer truck with no defaults..same price, etc as truck currently..didn't work that way today, January 28 when we returned for figures..new truck would cost $11,000 more than what we now owe on the 2012..so we nixed the deal, but we still have truck unsafe to drive because Chrysler won't provide the parts to make the vehicles safe..

Received a safety recall for notification code N49 on the left tie rod ball. Followed the instructions and took this notice to the local dealer the greg orr auto collection. We were told that they could not get the parts, that they were not available and did not expect to be for several months. It would probably be March or later. Our information was written down on a scratch pad. This is very concerning based on the severity of the recall as described on the recall notice. I would like to know why parts are not available for this recall. I want this work/repair performed immediately. I drive this truck daily and pull cattle and other work trailers frequently and am concerned for my safety.

I pull a light weight 40' gooseneck trailer, and while driving I noticed the fuel mileage dropped tremendously and the coolant temp stayed around 220deg and I noticed a horrible loss of power which would not let me drive any faster than around 40-45mph! I took it to the dealership and they performed a boost test on the turbo and said that it's supposed to produce 32 pounds of boost but mine was only producing 26 pounds of boost, and then I was informed they could not justify replacing the turbo because it has not thrown a code on the instrument panel, well if you tell me it's supposed to produce one number and it's doing another then I believe that's enough justification to replace the part beings I paid $50,000 for a brand new truck! the loss of power causes traffic back-ups even if I'm in the slow lane! the temp out of the exhaust reaches 800deg's and melts my mudflap and has caused it to start smoldering after I come to a complete stop! I was later informed about the "re-gen" process and was told it would kick in and out of "re-gen" but I don't believe mine has came out of re-gen beings I'm still getting 5mph with or without a trailer! the engine light and ABS light comes on numerous times a day an then go off and now the engine light stays on all the time! this is a brand new Dodge 3500 6.7L turbo diesel 4X4.

My safety issue is when a lance truck camper, model 1172 is attached to truck. The cg is 6-8 behind the rear axle (even though both Dodge and lance data sheets indicate it should be over or in front of rear wheel). In addition, when fresh water tank is full (and without a normal camping load), the GAWR of the rear axle is exceeded. 400 pounds of weight is taken off the front axle when the camper is attached to the truck. An inspection of the front tires revealed significant cupping with less than 5000 miles on the new vehicle. The truck with the camper attached is very unstable driving down the highway. I contacted both lance and the dealer I purchased the camper from. Both say there are no issues and everything is in specs.

I was backing out of my driveway with the wheel turned slightly to the right. My truck felt as though it had shifted into 4WD. I stopped, moved forward approximately five feet. Stopped and backed five feet. I then heard an air leak. I looked under my truck and found the tie rod had disengaged, dropped into the inside of the rim, and punctured the rim. My truck was disabled at this time and I called for a tow to the dealer. I researched and found this to be an issue with the 2008-11 Ram truck. There was a recall (L16). This is an extremely dangerous failure for anyone moving forward at normal speeds.
