while my Truck was 14 years old, i only used it to work on my house, that's why it had such light miles, the transmission just completely failed. one day it started popping out of first gear, the next day it was popping out of every gear if you didn't hold the shifter and the third day the transmission was grinding metal.

i had it looked at by a trans shop and they said the planetary gear was shot and the trans needed a complete rebuild but it would be cheaper to replace with a transmission out of a wreck.

Frankly i didn't think it was worth it
