My wife adjusts the steering wheel on our Prius V wagon every time she gets in the car. Of course I have to readjust when I get in. Last time I set the tilt and thought I locked it in place only to find out it was not locked when I drove around a curve and almost lost control of the car. The steering wheel was going all over the place, up and down, in and out. Could not lock the steering wheel in place. Took the Prius V by Toyota dealership and the technician looked at it and confirmed it would not lock. Scheduled to take car into dealership next week. Technician said it was probably something broke inside the steering column. Of course, it's out of Warranty at 57,500 mis. A problem like this should never go out of Warranty.
