Since we bought our Prius V in 2012 the low light headlights have burned out at least 3, possibly 4, times. It just happened again last night, coming home from the movies, at night. We had to reluctantly drive all the way home with the high beams on, much to the annoyance of, well, everyone. We didn't report it before because we thought it was just us. Our mechanic has fixed the problem, but the fix isn't sticking. Now that we know it's a known issue we will stay on top of it.
Shame on Toyota for not doing a recall on this. Losing your lights while driving at night in low light areas is - I would argue - quite dangerous. (#duh)
