I do not know how to rate this problem, my car has been rattling for over a year. I spent money to get it fixed and it has not stopped. Toyota claims I have recalls but when I went to dealer he told me I had to paid to check it and if it was related to the rattle that the car was recalled on they would fix it.
This past Saturday, I had my car in the driveway in park, running I got out of my car to talk to the postman, I walked around my car to my mailbox, and next thing I saw my car was running like someone had their foot on the gas out of my driveway. I attempted to catch it by I was on the wrong side. It hit a tree across the street and crashed the whole back of my car it totaled.
I am sick of it and I am done with this car. I know there were over five recalls, but I was told the parts were not in, and they would contact me when they came I have never heard anything from the dealer. I do not know what to do now. I have full coverage, but my rates will go up anyway, this is too much I am scared of my own car, time for a new one.
Update from Aug 1, 2016: Also did make a police report the next morning, the postal worker will verify what happened.
