The frame of the front of the vehicle significantly extends your blind spot when turning, it is positioned in a way that severely limits your peripheral vision. I have heard the same complaint from others who have driven my vehicle. When I was first getting used to it (day two of driving my first Rav4) I nearly got in an accident turning, not used to the blind spot. Since then, I learned one must do an annoying little forward shuffle to see whenever turning, but the vision limit STILL is an impact to safety, and eventually led to a wreck that totaled my beloved vehicle. Only complaint I have ever had of my beloved Rav4! Putting my story out there for others to remember, I truly loved this car in every other way.
