The contact owns 2023 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid. The contact stated while driving at various speeds with 3 gallons of fuel remaining in the fuel tank, the message "Low Fuel" was displayed, and the instrument cluster turned blank. The contact stated that the instrument cluster remained blank and inoperable until fuel was added to the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure had been recurring while driving. Additionally, the contact stated while refueling the vehicle at a gas station, the fuel tank capacity was 10.5 gallons; however, the vehicle was designed with a fuel tank capacity of 14.5 gallons. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that the vehicle was operating as designed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 4,000.
