Actually, it's a continuous problem that reoccurs despite all efforts to contain it. The wires on this car are so cheap and vulnerable and poorly planned in their placement. Just because critters chewed on wire behind the manifold that I could not get to myself to solder, they had to take apart half the engine to get to and got a 700 bill, four hours of labor plus parts. Even the little bit of insulation they do put on is useless. Are they not able to devise an insulation that rats and other vermin can't chew?
They getting into engine easily because the cheap plastic apron they put under the vehicle fell off when I hit an empty box going 10 miles an hour. Next it's the knock sensors, also deep behind the manifold. Critters chewed on wires down there, 700 plus bill, so far well over 2000. Have 1000 deductible per incident so no insurance reimbursement. Toyota, what were you thinking????
