We purchased 4 LT235/75R 15 lrc big foot A/T dual tires at $172.79 a piece 3/14/06, spending $787.31. Sunday 6/24/07 on highway 40 at a speed limit of 75mph, the right front tire blew out, almost flipping us over, which would have created enormous damage to ourselves and our vehicle. Luckily, I stabilized the vehicle and pulled off the road. Tuesday 6/26/07 we went to big O tires at 2010 E. lake mead blvd, North las vegas, nv to get a replacement. Manny was apparently unable to locate a replacement tire, despite checking throughout las vegas and California. How can big O sell tires with a supposed guarantee when they can't locate any such tires with which to replace them" this morning manny put on another brand tire, supposedly of equivalent value and durability. It is a P, not lt, tire?how is that equivalent? it has a speed rating of S vs. The rest of the tires have a speed rating of Q. and on the big O tire web site it states, ?never mix tires with different speed ratings, as this may cause serious handling problems.? so much for equivalence! furthermore, it is a spector advanta tire, and I can find absolutely no information on the internet as to who makes this tire. What kind of warranty am I going to have on the tire? I have another Toyota truck, which also had a tire blow-out, the day after the one mentioned above. These tires came with our above truck and were not big O tires. The store manager suggested the tires were starting to dry rot, so therefore I purchased 4 brand new tires from him for that truck. He sold me prime well tires, and I had to pay for a road hazard warranty, which would have been included in a purchase of big O tires. He?S checked off that it?S a three-year road-hazard 40,000 mile warranty. In the small print it says, ?every new tire sold by big O tires?carries a manufacturer warranty against material and workmanship?? is that the mileage warranty? by the manufacturer, giti, in china"

We purchased a Toyota Tacoma with extended warranty from Toyota of easley in August of 2000. When the truck had about 12000 miles on it, the front tires were wearing irregularly. I called the Toyota dealership and they said that the front end needed alignment so I took it back to them to do so. Since the front tires by then were worn pretty badly, I asked them to rotate the tires. They would not rotate the tires under warranty, so I paid them to rotate the tires. They didn't even want to talk about replacing the worn tires. After about another 12000 miles, the front tires have worn the same way again. I called the dealership and they said to bring it in. I told them that aligning the front end did not fix it before and after arguing with them for some time, they told me they would contact technical service and see what might be causing the problem. They were supposed to call me back and let me know what they were going to do to fix the problem. They have not called. It's been about a week and a half. I have called them several times since then and each time was told they haven't heard anything from technical service yet. I called two days ago and the service manager told me again, that he would call me back. I have called several times since then and each time, I have been told that he was out doing a test drive. I have left my name and number and asked that he return my call and as of yet he has not called me back. I presently have a truck that is a year old and has excessive wear on all four tires now and have front end problems that I am unable to get the dealership to do anything about. Can you offer any suggestions? thank you. David loftis.

All four tires have reoccuring "feathering" or cupping on the outer treads. Manufact. Blames out of alignm--dealer checked twice and it was ok (09/13/2000 @ 5114 & earlier). Tires have been rotated twice already since I bought the truck (buy @ 1,866 mi). Tires rotated at 3128 & 7123 mi). I have also experienced problems with the invicta gl (oem) on my previous vehicle--the effect was the same as what is happening now. Manu continual denial of possible flaws in design. On a side note, the tires do not look like they will last over 20K mi. With my last vehicle they only lasted to about 13K. Also, see other complaints about the Goodyear invicta gl--they are relatively consistent with this one. (tiresize: P195/75R14)( dot number: Tire size: P195/75R14 )

I purchased a 2000 Tacoma in the month of July. I have no problems except for the Goodyear tires. The Goodyear tires have been found defective by sears automotive and Toyota and should be replaced asap. For more than a month, I have contacted Goodyear regarding the problem, but under my warranty, I took my 2000 Tacoma to a local dealer. Miguel perez (1045) - rogers and rogers Toyota, phone # (760) 353-9300 attended me and for several weeks confirmed that all four tires would be replaced. As of today my tires have not been replaced, except for one tire, which I was charged $7.50., I am confident you will want to resolve this issue quickly and thoroughly. I am asking that you to look into this matter as it concerns me and other drivers, since the local Toyota dealer stated to me, "there was no more they can do." Three weeks ago I purchased a 2000 Toyota Tacoma prerunner with Firestone 265X75X15 Wilderness AT tires on it. At the time of purchase I questioned the dealership about the safety of the tires and asked them if the tires on the truck were affected by the recall that was in place. They told me no it was just the smaller 235X75X15 tires that were on recall and the other ones were safe to use. Well one week ago I was washing my new truck when I noticed a small crack going all the way around one of the tires like where the carcass and the tread would meet, upon further inspection I found that all four tires had a crack going all the way around the tire in the same spot between where the tread meets the carcass of the tire! the following Monday I went to my local Firestone dealship like the Toyota dealership I had bought the truck told me to do and expressed my concern over the safety of the tires on the truck. They inspected the tires and said that nothing was wrong with them, they're not on the recall list and that if I wanted they would sell me a new set to ease my mind. Well this did not ease my mind. I do not know what to do, even the 6 year 100,000 warranty on the truck does absolutely no good. Please help, I do not want to be another Firestone victim.( dot number: W269 tire size: 265X75X15 )
