This was a beautiful truck when I bought it. I kept it waxed and clean until this started happening. The clear coat on the paint job started coming off all over my truck. The dark blue with the TRD decals looked awesome and it was a big reason why I bought it. Now... it looks like crap. The clear coat is coming off the roof, side over the TRD decals, the bumper, and the fender flairs. I am really disgusted with what is going on with the paint job on this truck. I know it is a manufacturer defect in the clear coat of the paint job.
I have owned two older Toyota trucks. One was a 1986 red truck and the other a 1999 deep purple truck. I put a lot of miles on both of the trucks and never had this happen to the paint on either truck. This is a 2005 Toyota Pre-Runner TRD and it looks awful now. I believe there should be a recall on this truck to fix the problem. Getting it painted would cost me a lot of money, and it isn't even my fault.
