I have a 2007 dark blue Tacoma where the paint has been steadily fading white, now chipping and peeling off the roof and the hood since 2012. It is to the point where it has spread over the whole area and makes my whole truck look like crap. Every time I see another dark blue Tacoma the same thing is happening to it. You would think Toyota would care that so many of their vehicles are driving around with their paint falling off and deteriorating. It is obvious it is bad a paint job. They have got to be losing customers. Toyota needs to find some integrity and offer repainting their vehicles where the paint job is defective.
The entire front passenger door is chipping away, along with bits of the tailgate. The roof is a rusty red mess and now the clear coat on the hood is falling off.

Clearcoat and paint peeling badly on hood, roof, and top of front fender flares.
Toyota had a recall but it is closed now.
Solution is a $3,000 - $5,000 paint job.
Clearcoat blisters, bubbles, and peels, then paint and undercoat blister and peels to bare metal.
