purchased the car from a dealer in 2013. great, only 2 yrs old. now in January of 2016 as I start to run water over my car to wash it, a 1 inch piece of paint just chips right off down to the bare metal. I contact Toyota headquarters and am told that there has not been an issue with this and they are not aware of it. Well, I am letting you know that the paint has chipped off with water running out of a hose and that is not normal. they give me a claim # and tell me to contact my local dealer, inform them that I have a complaint # and they will contact headquarters. Basically they would repaint the door only but I had to pay out of pocket up front $200, leave the car over night, they would not cover a rental, and they would reimburse me once I faxed the receipt and work order to them. So not only am I left without a car for 2 days, I had to pay for a car rental which they would not reimburse me for but I had to pay upfront for the bad paint job they did when the car was made. Now the paint has chipped off the bumper. What the heck is going on with this paint that they used.
