I have complained that I thought the truck wandered from day one but was told by the dealership everything is OK. Now, a month and a half after the time warranty runs out, I'm told the lower ball joints are worn out! I am a journeyman mechanic and I have NEVER heard of a set of ball joints wearing out in 44,000 kilometers. The truck is driven on-road 99.9% of the time and has never seen severe duty of any sort. I have heard older Tacoma's had ball joint problems, but thought the problem was fixed.
