From first day of purchase the radio would randomly change the volume. Dealer told me to not use the HD function as it doesn't work. Turned that off on all radio frequencies. Still doing it. Vehicle parked, engine off, in line of sight with transmission tower 3/4 mile away. Radio will go from normal to barely able to hear then go to blasting me out of the truck. Blue tooth cell phone through the radio does the same thing. 3 Dealers have told me that it's supposed to do that. Today while using Blue Tooth for the phone there was a loud pop in the speakers right after the volume dropped so low I thought the phone disconnected. After the pop the volume was normal.
Radio is total junk. Even the GPS maps are useless. Leave a large metropolitan area and the low budget maps that Toyota installed don't show or name the roads correctly. The dealers also say this is normal. I currently am using my old Magellan dash mount unit with much better results.
