Similar to the other post on here, my HVAC system is stuck in defrost mode. I can change fan speed, temperature, etc. but it only blows out of the defrost vents. I have no idea what the problem is or what it will cost to fix this. I can't fathom how much a new HVAC control system will cost if it is electronic. Someone on TundraTalk.net mentioned a possible loose vacuum line as the cause, but the original poster never responded with the fix. Mine is still not functioning properly and hasn't worked right for at least two months.

air vents stuck on defrost vents..heater and cold works. dealer tells me I'm over warranty by 3000 miles. said he never heard of this but seems to know what it is.. said labor is 1200 to completely take off dash but would give me free part. 2-3 year old truck with funky problem soo expensive to fix.. they'll only cover part...
