I have a 2009 Toyota Tundra that over the past few months I've noticed "swirl" marks all over my truck...especially on the hood (4 spots). I've taken it to three different body shops and every one of them told me that it looks to be under the clear-coat and is a bad paint job from the factory. They also told me that they have seen other white Tundras having the same problem.
I met with the Toyota Rep (District Manager for the Central Atlanitic region) when I visited Lustine Toyota in Woodbridge and he looked over my truck and agreed there was an issue with the paint. Two other witnesses were there when he said it and also heard him say that my truck is past the 3 year or 36,000 mile warranty. I asked him if Toyota would be able to help me get the truck repainted and he said no. I asked him if this is Toyota's final stand on this paint issue and he said that it's out of warranty.
I'm contacting attorneys now to look into a class action law suit against Toyota as many other Tundra owners are having the same issues with the paint from 2007-2010 models. If you are interested in signing up for the class action law suit please contact me.
